At least 10 killed in stabbings in Canada

At least 10 people have been killed and 15 others injured in knife attacks in Canada's central Saskatchewan province, police said.

The victims were found in 13 locations on James Smith Creek and Weldon Village.

The two suspects, identified as Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson, are on the run and are believed to be armed and dangerous.

Residents have been instructed to stay indoors as a massive search for the suspects continues.

"Don't leave safe places. Be careful when allowing other residents into your home," Canadian police said in a tweet.

The relationship between Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30, is not yet known, and authorities have not released details about the attackers.

The first attack was reported to police on Sunday at 05:40 local time in the regional capital, Regina, south of Weldon. Then followed other calls for help to the police.

The suspects were seen in public in Regina around lunchtime and were traveling in a Nissan Rogue.

The authorities have asked the residents to notify the police immediately if they come across the suspects, as they are considered dangerous./REL
