Possible meeting with Putin/Zelensky: Turkey, Gulf or European countries are

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Turkey, Gulf states or European countries could organize possible talks between him and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky has sought direct talks with Putin aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, but Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said no agenda had been prepared for such a meeting.

"This week we will have contacts with Turkey, the Gulf states and European states that can organize talks with the Russians. For our part, we will prepare to the maximum extent possible to end the war," he added, Zelensky said.

Zelensky spoke while his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, along with the head of Ukraine's National Security Council, were in Qatar for meetings with the country's defense minister. /CNA
