Storm Bert in Britain/Snow, rain and wind, severe weather alert

Snow, rain and strong winds are expected to disrupt travel plans and potentially cause flooding as Storm Bert batters the UK.

Several weather warnings have been put in place, while 16 flood warnings have been issued in England and Scotland.

Much of the UK is affected by yellow warnings for wind, rain or snow, with a slightly harsher warning for northern England and central Scotland.
