Russia: We repelled a "massive attack" by Ukraine on Crimea

The governor installed by Moscow in the occupied Ukrainian region of Crimea, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that "a massive attack" by Ukrainian missiles on the city of Sevastopol had been repelled.

Razvozhayev said several missiles fell over the sea and in the area near the Belbek airbase. Even earlier, this airbase had been the target of attacks.

Authorities installed by Russia in Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula have not reported any casualties from the latest attacks.

Meanwhile, local residents told the ASTRA Telegram channel that about "20 rockets" were used during the Ukrainian attacks.

Separately, the Russian Defense Ministry said air defenses shot down ten long-range missiles over Crimea.

Russia's claims could not be independently confirmed.

In recent weeks, Moscow, without providing evidence, has accused Ukraine of starting to use the American-made ATACMS missile system, as the Russian occupation of Ukraine entered its third year./ REL
