Russia controls the eastern part of Bakhmut, Ukraine its western side

Britain's Ministry of Defense said the Wagner paramilitary group has taken control of the eastern part of Bakhmut while Ukrainian forces are controlling the western side of the city.

In the latest announcement, the British ministry said that Russian forces are firing from fortified buildings, the city has turned into a "killing zone" and the Wagner Group is facing major obstacles in its efforts to advance west of the city.
