At least 22 people were killed after Russians fired a rocket at a train station in Ukraine, marking six months of fighting since the invasion began on February 24.

Five of the victims of the attack in the eastern town of Chaplyne were burned to death in a vehicle. Among the victims is an 11-year-old boy, writes "BBC".

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the attack in the middle of a UN Security Council meeting. He said that around 50 people were injured.

Russia has so far made no comment. It has repeatedly denied that it targeted civilian infrastructure.

Zelenskiy said he learned of the attack in Chaplyne, Dnipropetrovsk region, while preparing to speak to the Security Council, adding: "This is how Russia prepared for the UN Security Council meeting."

"Four passenger wagons are on fire now, the number of victims may increase", he continued./ CNA.al
