Regjistrohen disa raste me COVID-19 në Kosovë

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK) announced that in the period from July 10-23, 19 positive cases of COVID-19 were registered.

This institute recommended several steps to reduce health risks from COVID-19, including practicing good personal and collective hygiene, staying in fresh air, testing for coronavirus and vaccination with booster doses to prevent prolonged COVID.

IKSHPK recalled that the World Health Organization declared the end of COVID-19 as a global health emergency on May 5, 2023.

However, cases of the coronavirus – which first appeared in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 – have recently been recorded in various countries around the world and on the European continent.

In January of this year, the scientific journal Lancet published a study about the coronavirus pandemic. According to the findings of the study, the pandemic affected people's life expectancy, as during the pandemic period, life expectancy decreased by 1.6 years.

Lancet researchers also estimated that COVID caused 15.9 million deaths during 2020-2021. The deaths were caused either by the virus or by the obstacles caused in the health system as a result of the pandemic./ REL
