The "Panda" case, Kurti: Serbia is still hiding the truth about the
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, recalled the terrorist attack by Serbia in the "Panda" cafeteria in Peja, which happened 26 years ago.

In a post on Facebook, he said that on December 14, 1998, Serbian services executed six young Serbs to falsely accuse the KLA of being guilty.

"Serbia killed six young Serbs, aged 14, 16, 17, 18 and 24 years old, in the Milosevic regime's attempt to justify the genocide in Kosovo. After this attack, Serbian forces arrested more than 150 Albanians in Peja. On December 17, 1998, Agron Kollçaku, Behar Bajri, Beqir Loxha, Gazmend Bajrami, Vllaznim Pergeggaj and Xhevdet Bajrami were also arrested and humanely tortured. The oldest of them was 22, while the youngest was 17 years old. In November 1999, the court in Serbia acquitted the six young Albanians," Kurti said.

Among other things, he added that 26 years later, the state of Serbia continues to hide the truth about the killing of Serbian youth.

"Serbia denies the genocide in Kosovo, denies the genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, denies the massacre in Srebrenica, even the massacre in Recak. Ignorance of her criminal past and ignorance of Kosovo's independence are closely related. For peace and security in our region, confronting the past and justice for Serbia's crimes in Kosovo are necessary," said Kurti.
