The police hit her head on the sidewalk/ The murder of the 22-year-old woman

There have been ongoing battles between Iranian police and anti-government protesters in Tehran, reports say, in the worst unrest there in years.

The protests, now in their seventh day, are continuing in many other cities. Activists say eight protesters were shot dead overnight, while media said two paramilitaries were killed. The riots were caused by the death of a woman detained by the police.
