Mijëra njerëz dyshohet se kanë vdekur pas një stuhie të fuqishme që shkaktoi përmbytje shkatërruese në Libi.

Udhëheqësi i qeverisë lindore të Libisë, tha se nga përmbytjet kanë humbur jetën mbi 2000 persona dhe dhe mijëra janë zhdukur.

Jalel Harchaoui, një specialist i Libisë, i tha BBC-së se numri i të vdekurve mund të rritet.

Stuhia Daniel arriti në tokë të dielën, duke nxitur autoritetet të shpallin një gjendje ekstreme të jashtëzakonshme.

Shtatë personel të ushtrisë libiane u zhdukën gjatë përpjekjeve të vazhdueshme të shpëtimit.
