Greece has been under water for days due to bad weather and the storm "Daniel" that engulfed the country.

Finally, images from the Sentinel 2 satellite over the area of ??Thessaly show that there are still flooded areas.

In Larisa, about 20% of the city is 3 meters under water and it is reported that over 100,000 cattle have been found dead.

The areas along the river are completely under water while the highway is closed.

What remains problematic and dangerous is the Tembi Valley, where the entire area is flooded.

Below you can find images from the Sentinel 2 satellite.

The confirmed death toll from recent floods in central Greece rose to 15 after the bodies of four people previously considered missing were found on Sunday.

According to Greek media, three of the bodies were found in villages near the town of Kardita in western Thessaly. It is about an 88-year-old woman and her 65-year-old son, who were found in their home, as well as a 58-year-old man, whose body was found between two villages.

The coast guard said on Sunday that the body of a 42-year-old man, missing since Tuesday, was found floating in the sea near the town of Volos. He was last seen in his car unable to control it in the raging waters.

Greece's fire service said it had evacuated about 3,500 people from the floods that hit central Greece on Tuesday. Rescue efforts continue.

Flooding appears to have subsided, although the Pineios River, the main waterway in Thessaly, is rising at its mouth, Fire Service spokesman Yiannis Artopios said Sunday evening./ CNA
