Hezbollah's warning: Iranian attack could usher in a new phase in the conflict

Beirut airport has reopened this morning and flights in and out of the Lebanese capital have resumed.

This comes after a very tense night during which a major question was: will Hezbollah participate in Iranian retaliation against Israel?

It soon became clear that it was not. The fear was that Israel could use it to intensify its shelling of southern Lebanon and beyond.

On the open front between southern Lebanon and northern Israel, the clash between the Israeli army and Hezbollah continues.

Hostilities between the two have continued for more than six months.

A day after the Iranian attack, everyone in Lebanon continues to closely watch Israel's reaction, as a Hezbollah leader earlier warned that it "could open a new phase in the conflict"./ CNA
