The passing of Eliot Engel/Kurti: A great friend of the nation, one of the

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted to the passing of American Congressman Eliot Engel, describing him as a great friend of the Albanian nation and a steadfast supporter of Kosovo.

Kurti emphasized that Engel, for more than three decades in the United States Congress, has been a dedicated servant of American citizens and a strong voice in defense of human rights.

According to him, in the most difficult times for Albanians, Engel did not withdraw from his commitment, but on the contrary supported and advocated for the Kosovo issue in the highest American institutions.

Kurti singled him out as one of the early and unwavering voices in support of Kosovo during the period when the country was seeking justice and international support.

"Yesterday, our nation's great friend and distinguished congressman Eliot Engel passed away.

For more than three decades in the United States Congress, he was a dedicated servant of American citizens and a powerful voice for human rights.

In the most difficult times for Albanians, Engel never shied away from his commitment, raising and advocating for the defense of our cause in the highest American institutions.

He was among the early and unwavering voices in support of Kosovo, in the days when justice for our people required courage and determination.

Meetings with him were always filled with attention and sincere interest in the future of our country.

The freedom and independence of Kosovo are the success of the sacrifice of our people and the support of our Western allies, where Congressman Engel holds a special place.

He represented the belief that freedom and human rights are the foundation of every democratic society. Our gratitude for his contribution to our national cause will remain eternal.
