Israel expels Spanish personnel from military coordination center/ Reason,

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Spanish personnel have been expelled from a military base in Israel due to the country's continued criticism of its military operations. According to Netanyahu, Spain has consistently chosen to stand against Israel.

"Spain has slandered our heroes, the soldiers of the IDF, the soldiers of the most moral army in the world. Therefore, I have given instructions to expel the representatives of Spain from the coordination center in Kiryat Gat, as Spain has repeatedly chosen to stand against Israel," Netanyahu said. 

Netanyahu said Israel would not allow any country to wage a political war against it without paying a price for it. Spain, one of the most vocal critics of the US-Israeli attacks in the Middle East, has closed its airspace to any military aircraft involved in the war and has labeled the conflict reckless and illegal.

Confirming the expulsion, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Spain had acted against Israel "by all possible means."

The military center, located in central Israel, was formed to oversee the ceasefire agreed in Gaza last October. Spain had a permanent presence at the headquarters. /CNA
