"We look forward to the negotiations"/ US delegation leaves for talks in Islamabad

United States Vice President JD Vance has departed for Islamabad on Air Force Two, ahead of planned talks between American and Iranian delegations in Pakistan.

Before leaving, Vance stated that they "look forward to the negotiations," emphasizing that the US is ready to "extend a hand" if the Iranian side acts in good faith.

However, he warned that in the event of fraud attempts, Washington will not remain open to dialogue.

According to him, US President Donald Trump has given him direct instructions for these discussions.

The American delegation is expected to include special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, while the talks will take place in Islamabad, as confirmed by White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt.
