"If there is no agreement, attacks will intensify"/ Trump warns Iran

US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if a peace deal is not reached, the United States will resume military action with greater intensity.

"We're loading the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made, even better than what we did before and used," Trump told the New York Post in a phone interview on Friday, adding that the US would "use them very effectively if there's no deal."

As Vice President JD Vance heads to Pakistan to lead talks with the Iranians, Trump said the next 24 hours will reveal whether the talks will be successful.

"We'll find out in about 24 hours. We'll know soon," Trump said.

The president also expressed doubts about Iran's message.

"You're dealing with people who we don't know if they're telling the truth or not. At first glance, they're getting rid of all the nuclear weapons, everything's gone. And then they come out in front of the press and say, 'No, we'd like to get rich.' So we'll find out ," Trump said. /CNA
