NATO warns Minsk and Moscow after the attack on the popular restaurant

Another attack by the Russians has caused many casualties. From the attack on a well-known restaurant in Kramatorsk, there were 8 victims and 56 injured.

Among the victims were three children who lost their lives in the attack in the only large city in eastern Ukraine controlled by Kiev.

The attack destroyed the Ria Pizza restaurant in the city center, popular with journalists and soldiers.

Three Colombians, famous writer Hector Abad, politician Sergio Jaramillo and journalist Catalina Gomez were slightly injured while dining at the restaurant with Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina, according to a press release.

NATO ready to defend against "Moscow or Minsk"

NATO is ready to defend itself against any threat from "Moscow or Minsk", Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday.

The NATO secretary general made the comments after Belarus announced it would welcome back Wagner's boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, following his uprising at the weekend.

Stoltenberg suggested that the US alliance will strengthen its defenses during an upcoming summit in Lithuania in order to protect all its members, especially those bordering Russia and Belarus.

"It is too early to make a final judgment on the consequences of Prigozhin's relocation to Belarus and the very possible presence in Belarus of some of its forces," Stoltenberg told the press.

"What is clear is that we have sent a clear message to Moscow and Minsk: NATO is here to protect every ally and every part of NATO territory," he continued.

"So there is no room for a misunderstanding in Moscow or Minsk about our ability to protect allies against any possible threat."/ CNA
