The inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV is being held in St. Peter's Square.

Hundreds of thousands of believers are attending mass in St. Peter's Square.

Earlier, Pope Leo XIV greeted the faithful from the Popemobile - marking the first time he has traveled in the vehicle.

World leaders, including US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, are among those attending the inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV.

Today, a high-ranking state delegation from Albania, represented by the President of the Republic Bajram Begaj and Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, is participating in the ceremony of the holy Papal inauguration of Pope LEO XIV.

From the Catholic Church, present is the President of the Episcopal Conference (KISH), Archbishop Gjergj Meta, and the Vice-Presidents of KISH, Archbishop Simon Kulli and Archbishop Arjan Dodaj.

Part of the delegation from the Orthodox Church is His Grace Nikolla, Metropolitan of Apollonia and Fier, and Father Ignat Todri.               

From the Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu and Ejup Lila are present.

From the World Bektashi Patriarchate, Patriarch Baba Mondi is present, as well as journalist Ferdinand Samarxhi./ CNA
