Lajçak reacts again to the attack on the Kosovo Police / "Cowardly

The EU Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, has reacted again to the attack on the Kosovo Police.

Lajçak described the violence against the policemen as shocking news and a vicious act.

He once again emphasized cooperation and the importance of dialogue.

" On my return from New York this morning, I received the shocking news of an attack on Kosovo policemen in northern Kosovo.

Such a cowardly act of violence is deeply disturbing and is contrary to the very principles of peace and cooperation. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, friends and colleagues. This horrific attack further underscores the need for diplomacy and preventive dialogue, underscored last week when I attended the UN General Assembly's high-level week in New York. On the margins of ???????? During the high-level week, I spoke with many leaders and colleagues from around the world. In one way or another, we all emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation.

I also met the six presidents from the Western Balkans and senior UN officials to discuss regional dynamics. HR/VP Borrell also organized a traditional Western Balkan lunch to align our messages for this week on the global stage.

In order to find a way forward in the region and in particular in the Dialogue, I held strategic discussions with our partners ????????.

This year I especially appreciated the dinner with the former presidents of the General Assembly and the current President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

It was great to be back at the UN, but after a week of “global speed dating” it was time to head back to Brussels. In the coming days, I will fully focus on finding a way forward", writes Lajçak./ CNA
