The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who led Tehran's delegation in talks with the US in Pakistan, said that now is the time for the US to decide whether it can earn their trust or not.
In a post on X, Ghalibaf points out that before the negotiations, Iran had trust and goodwill, but because of its experiences in the two previous wars, it did not trust the opposing side.
He says the Iranian delegation raised forward-looking initiatives, but the opposing side ultimately failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this round of negotiations.
He continues: "We will not stop for a moment our efforts to consolidate the achievements of the forty days of Iran's national defense."
He adds that the negotiations were intense and thanks Pakistan for facilitating them./ CNA
