British PM: Russia's ability to regroup must be weakened

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the West must work to weaken "Russia's ability to regroup" as Moscow continues its war of aggression against Ukraine.

Sunak made these comments during a Joint Expeditionary Force summit held in Riga. This force, which is led by Britain, consists of ten Northern European countries and aims to react more quickly in the event of any threat, such as the threat that Russia already poses.

Presidenti ukrainas, Volodymyr Zelensky, foli përmes video-lidhjes. Ai tha se Rusia po përdor dronë Shahed, të prodhimit iranian, për të sulmuar shtetin e tij, duke theksuar se 34 dronë të tillë janë përdorur në sulmet e fundit që kanë ndodhur gjatë natës.

Irani ka pranuar se e furnizon Rusinë me dronë, por ka insistuar se dërgesat janë bërë para se Moska të niste pushtimin e Ukrainës në fund të shkurtit.

Last week, the European Union approved a new package of sanctions aimed at increasing pressure on Russia over its war on Ukraine. This package of sanctions targets the Russian military, but also people and groups involved in attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
