Israel arrests Hezbollah militants

Four Hezbollah militants were arrested after entering a restricted area, the Israeli authorities announced.

Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister Israel Katz had ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) not to allow entry into the area near the border with South Lebanon, in accordance with the first phase of the ceasefire agreement. , writes Sky News.

"The Israel Defense Forces have arrested four Hezbollah militants, including a local commander, who entered the restricted area and will continue to act harshly against any violations," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

The cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah provides for a temporary 60-day cessation of hostilities. Hezbollah forces will leave their positions in South Lebanon and withdraw north of the Litani River, about 30 km north of the border with Israel.
