FBI: Bomb threats against several Trump cabinet nominees

The FBI has confirmed the news that there has been a bomb threat against those nominated to be part of the administration of President-elect Donald Trump.

In a statement, the FBI says it is aware of multiple bomb threats and hit-and-run incidents targeting future administration appointees.

"We take all potential threats seriously and, as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement," the FBI said in a statement.

So far, those known to have been threatened are:

Howard Lutnick, Trump's nominee for Commerce Secretary and part of his transition team, whose home was threatened, the Bronx News 12 reported

Lee Zeldin, the nominee for the Environmental Protection Agency, who received a bomb threat at his Long Island home, foreign media reports.

Matt Gaetz, the initial nominee for attorney general, had his Florida home targeted, various news reports said.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, selected as Trump's ambassador to the UN, also threatened with a bomb attack

Pete Hegseth, the Defense Secretary, whose home was targeted.
