Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti

The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, in the conference called for the media, said that the terrorist attack of November 29 in Zubin Potok was aimed at causing irreparable damage to the critical infrastructure of Kosovo.

The head of the government says that in connection with this attack, a series of measures have been taken to identify and hold responsible the perpetrators of the attack, as well as to avoid disturbances in the supply of basic services to the citizens of Kosovo.

"During the last two days, we have undertaken a series of measures to identify and hold responsible the perpetrators of the terrorist and criminal attack on the one hand, and to minimize the damage to the infrastructure, and to identify and avoid the disruption of the supply of basic services to the citizens of Kosovo on the other side.

The weight of the consequences of this attack if it achieved its goal would be staggering. This attack was intended to cause irreparable damage to Kosovo's critical infrastructure, endangering national security, and disrupting the lives of all citizens of our country," said Kurti.

Further, the head of the prime minister, Kurti, also showed the consequences if this attack were to be carried out successfully.

"If the goal was achieved, this terrorist attack would potentially cause power outages from the Kosova B Power Plant for weeks, leaving more than half of the population of Kosovo without electricity, and 130,000 citizens of Pristina without heat. Furthermore, we would have interrupted the supply of water factories in Shkabaj, Drenas, Shipol and Balincë, leaving over 300 thousand citizens of South Mitrovica, Skenderaj, Vushtrri, North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Drenas, Fushë Kosovës and Obiliq without water. , jeopardizing the supply for over 300 thousand others in Pristina. And the other, for more weeks, we would potentially be without electricity, thus putting other critical services that depend on electricity, such as telecommunications, at risk," Kurti said.
