The British Minister for Europe, Stephen Doughty, has reacted to the terrorist attack that took place in the north of Kosovo, which he described as a terrible event.

During a post on the "X" network, the British minister said that this attack was aimed at ending lives throughout Kosovo.

The British minister emphasized that there should be a full and urgent investigation and that the perpetrators should be held accountable.

"The terrible attack on the Ibër-Lepencit water pipeline was aimed at ending lives throughout Kosovo. Successful efforts by workers to contain the damage have restored vital infrastructure. There must be a full investigation as a matter of urgency. Those responsible must be held accountable," Doughty wrote.

The explosion in Ibër-Lepenc happened on Friday evening, where it is suspected that 15 kg of explosives were used to damage this important node of the infrastructure that supplies drinking water to Kosovo.

The Kosovo Police yesterday evening in an extraordinary press conference announced that the explosive used is very rare to find and is of Serbian production.

From this attack, eight people were arrested and an arsenal of weapons and explosives was seized. /CNA
