Hungary has postponed the vote on the ratification of the application for membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO.

That's according to the Hungarian National Assembly's website on March 2, the latest in a series of postponements that have irritated Western allies.

The vote has been postponed for two weeks and Hungarian lawmakers are expected to vote on ratification at the March 20 session.

Hungary remains the only NATO member country that, apart from Turkey, has not yet approved the applications of the two Nordic countries to join the Western military alliance.
