Erdogan, harsh for burning the Koran / "I do not lock them up for actions under the guise of freedom of thought"

The burning of the Koran by two men in Sweden after a Swedish court approved the act has not been well received by the Muslim world.

As he congratulated Muslims on Eid al-Adha, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan denounced the burning of the Koran in Sweden the day before.

Erdogan said that those who committed the heinous act and "those who allow it under the guise of freedom of thought, those who turn a blind eye to this abomination" will not achieve their goals.

"We will show our reaction in the strongest way until there is a determined war against terrorist organizations and enemies of Islam," he said.

"Finally, we will teach the Western monuments of arrogance that it is not freedom of thought to offend the sacred (articles) of Muslims. I want it to be known that like Turkey, we will never bow to the politics of provocation or the politics of intimidation." , Erdogan said, among other things./ CNA.al
