Bulgaria has expelled a Russian journalist. The reason for the expulsion of the journalist is the allegations raised against him in connection with activities that posed a threat to the security of the country.
According to the National Security Agency, Alexander Gatsak, the correspondent of the Russian newspaper "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", has been deprived of his right of residence and has been banned from entering Bulgaria and other European Union countries.
Gatsak was summoned in September to accept the deportation order, and he did not show up but took refuge in the Russian Embassy in Sofia, AP reports. The agency has requested the help of the Foreign Ministry for the journalist to leave the country. / CNA
