Bulgaria accuses five people of the attack in Istanbul

Bulgarian authorities have charged five people with helping one of the suspects who carried out last weekend's attack in central Istanbul.

From this attack in Taksim Square, six people were killed and 81 others were injured.

This is what Siika Mileva, spokeswoman for the Sofia prosecutor's office, said on November 19.

Turkey's Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, said on November 14 that the police of this country have arrested 22 people suspected of the attack in Istanbul.

Among those arrested was the person who planted the bomb.

Turkey was also hit by a series of deadly bombings in 2015 and 2017, which were claimed by the Islamic State militant group and Kurdish militants. Over 500 civilians and security personnel have been killed in these attacks.
