After a two-day meeting of the political directors of the Steering Committee of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), it has been concluded that the political situation in the country is unstable, among other things, due to the threat from Republika Srpska to secede. Because of this, as the High Representative Christian Schmidt announced after the session, many may face the consequences, in the first place the president of RS, Milorad Dodik. "Those who go in that direction and play with these ideas play with the future of the citizens of this country. He will suffer great consequences from the international community and from me," said Schmidt, recalling Dodik's position that he does not accept the high representative, but that he listens to everything he says.

Specific reaction or threat

"I will not tell him what steps I will take against him, but some steps may be taken," Schmidt said after the meeting.

"The board of directors of the PIC is a group of people who present themselves falsely," Dodik responds to reports about the reaction of the international community to the separatist policy that has been pursued in recent months. "They call themselves the international community, although it is clear that it is a group of Western countries. And identical messages have been sent that we have heard for almost three decades," said Dodik.

The group of OHR experts tasked with drafting the law on state property is nearing the end of its work and there will be no imposition of the law. The PIC unconditionally supported the working group to draft the law, which will be sent to the state parliament.

"It's a technical issue. I'm talking about assets that can be found anywhere. It could be a sports hall. It should be clear to whom this object belongs. This issue is easily resolved in any state created by the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia", said Schmidt, who initiated the drafting of the law, after the authorities in the RS in several cases rejected the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which the land was designated as the property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the legal successor of the former Yugoslavia . The Bosnian political corps seems dissatisfied with this development of the situation. "Nothing new in OHR. Mr. Schmidt constantly demands that we reach agreements on difficult issues, excluding himself as the responsible person at the head of the Dayton institution, called OHR", says the SDA representative in the BiH Parliament, Shemsudin Mehmedovi?.

In Republika Srpska they do not accept this decision or the law that will be in the parliament.
