Arrest of former Prince Andrew/ King Charles III reacts

King Charles III has responded to the arrest of his brother, the former Prince Andrew. The response states that the investigating authorities and the judiciary have the full support and cooperation of the royal family to ensure that this matter is properly investigated.

Among other things, King Charles states that while the process continues, it would not be right for him to comment again on the matter.

"It was with the deepest concern that I learned the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the allegations of misconduct in public office. What now follows is a full and fair process by which this matter is properly investigated by the relevant authorities. As I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation."

"Let me be clear: the law must take its course. While this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. In the meantime, my family and I will continue our duty and service to you all ," the response reads.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also support the statement previously made by King Charles III regarding the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested by British police on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Police said earlier that the brother of King Charles had been taken into custody.

Andrew is suspected of sharing sensitive state information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK's trade envoy.

He himself has denied all allegations against him and has insisted that he was never a witness or suspect in any of the conduct Epstein is accused of. He has not commented on the recent allegations of misconduct in public office.

Recall that a few weeks ago, Buckingham Palace said it would be willing to support the police if contacted regarding the allegations made against the former prince /CNA
