The Minister of Agriculture, Frida Krifca, was invited to the A2 Business show where she spoke about the price crisis and food insecurity that has already increased all over the world due to the war in Ukraine, which is considered one of the largest exporting countries in terms of it belongs to many basic products.
The minister stated that at the moment in Albania, there is no shortage of food products or excessive price abuse as the government took measures by setting up the Transparency Board and made available to importers the bank guarantee instrument.

“Momentalisht nuk kemi një mungesë të produkteve ushqimore në tregje. Sigurisht Bordi i Transparencës së çmimeve ka pasur ndikimin e vet me sigurimin dhe vënien në dispozicion të instrumentit të garancisë bankare që iu vihet në dispozicion të importuesve si për vajin dhe për të frenuar rritjen e çmimit dhe abuzimin dhe për të garantuar që këto produkte nuk do të mungojnë”, tha ministrja.

Sa i përket krizës së grurit, Frida Krifca u shpreh se Shqipëria nuk ka një varësi totale nga Ukraina apo Rusia për këtë produkt, por po mundohet të sigurojë tregje të tjera, por që është përballur me çmime të rritura në bursa.

"We have a dependency on wheat that is not considered among the biggest dependencies if we compare it to Egypt and other big countries. We produce about 50% of our needs locally and about 40% came from Ukraine. And wheat importers had to secure it from other markets where they might have encountered higher prices. "This crisis has a chain effect on the final product," said Krifca. /CNA.al
