Conference for the Reconstruction of Ukraine/Ahmetaj: Albania condemns

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Reconstruction and Reform Program Arben Ahmetaj is participating in the Conference on Reconstruction of Ukraine, which is taking place in Lugano, Switzerland. The conference aims to initiate the political process for the recovery of Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
Participants in the Conference are high-level representatives, including the President and Foreign Minister of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis, the President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, high representatives of the EU countries as well as leaders of the OECD, EBRD , the World Bank and other international institutions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also welcomed the proceedings during the Plenary Session through a video conference.

Shqipëria iu bashkua pa asnje hezitim sanksioneve të vendosura ndaj Rusisë nga vendet e NATO dhe BE. Në të njëjtën kohë Shqipëria ka mirëpritur dhe do të mirëpresë qytetarët nga Ukraina që janë detyruar të braktisin shtëpitë e tyre për shkak të luftës.

Gjatë punimeve të Konferencës, Ahmetaj eshtë takuar me Presidentin dhe Ministrin e Jashtëm të Zvicrës Ignazio Cassis, Kryeministrin e Ukrainës Denys Shmyhal, Kryetarin e Kuvendit të Ukrainës Ruslan Stefanchuk, si dhe ka zhvilluar një takim bilateral me Sekretaren e Shtetit dhe Kryesuesen e Negociatave me BE të Konfederatës së Zvicrës znj. The parties shared the common position that the Russian invasion in Ukraine represents an increased risk for security and stability in the Western Balkans and should serve as a clear signal to NATO and the EU to take the necessary measures and at the right time, that the countries of the region who aspire to be integrated into the common Euro-Atlantic family, to be able to fulfill their aspirations as soon as possible.
