Vlora Bypass/ Commissioner Várhelyi comes to Albania, inspects EU funding

EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Várhelyi

The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Várhelyi, will visit Albania on Thursday, July 14. As the press office of the EU delegation announces, Várhelyi together with the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama will visit the Vlora bypass, which has been financed by the EU.
The visit will start at 19:00 at kilometer 13. After a short visit along the bypass, the Commissioner and the Prime Minister will hold a press conference.

The European Union has supported the construction of the Vlora bypass through a grant of 20 million euros. Also, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are contributing loans of 18 million euros each to this project. /CNA.al
