Amendment/ 600 million ALL per year to recover women affected by breast cancer

The Member of Parliament and at the same time the chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee for Health, Zheni Gjergji, has today filed an amendment for the 2024 budget.

She proposes to allocate a fund of 600 million lek as support for women suffering from the consequences of breast cancer.

This amount would help the women to recover from the consequences and would serve to rehabilitate them somewhat emotionally, making it possible to cover the costs of wigs and breast implants.

The deputy declares that "many women, apart from the health drama, do not have the economic opportunities to recover themselves and recover physically".

Gjergji asks the government that the amendment be treated with the appropriate sensitivity to make this support a reality for women affected by breast cancer./ CNA
