The government has transferred ALL 8 billion to the Energy Corporation.

The fund will be dedicated to the energy sector, and goes simultaneously with the decision to increase the price of electricity for household subscribers who spend over 800 KW.

The amount is part of the second tranche from the fund approved for this purpose in the state budget, for the Albanian Electricity Corporation.

The purpose of this transfer on the eve of winter is to cover KESH with liquidity for its operations in the purchase of energy in the foreign market or operational needs.

This amount is part of the budget of 28 billion lek in total, 20 of which for subsidies./euronews
