300 million euros was the value of goods that Albania exported in August. The increase is 40%, compared to last year.

Construction materials and metals have made the biggest contribution with a 13% increase, followed by fuels and electricity with 12%.

Textiles and shoes also played a role in the good performance of exports in August.

Trade exchanges have expanded with Italy, the main country that supplies our country with goods. In the eighth month, exports have expanded with Spain and Germany, while there has been a decrease from China, Kosovo and North Macedonia.

On the other hand, imports have also increased. They have reached high levels at 680 million euros, about 160 million euros more than last year.

The increase in prices in the markets has doubled the value of imports even in 8 months, which has also influenced the deepening of the deficit to 2.4 billion euros./euronews
