Journalist Iris Rezhda has denounced "Fax News" television this Tuesday.

Through a status on social networks, Rezhda says that she has been working on this television for two years without a contract as a journalist from the Korça district and has not received any salary.

She declares that the lack of payment is unacceptable, while emphasizing that she was fired today without prior notice.

The journalist announces that she will file a lawsuit in court against "Fax News" television and will file as evidence all written communications with the employer.

"Fax News" television has not paid district journalists for two years!!!

The financial treatment, and not only, of journalists from the media where they are employed, is a problem that is getting bigger and bigger. As a journalist, who has been covering the Korça region for almost 10 years, I consider it unacceptable not to be paid for 2 years by "Fax News", where I have been employed until today.

How difficult and how financially costly it is to be a national media correspondent, only those colleagues who feel under their skin what I feel know.

Work without hours, day and night, without weekly and annual holidays. Don't worry, because even in trouble, it's a shame to be, you'll still go to the event and you'll go out live. And you can cover hundreds of kilometers of road, on terrain where you can even lay your head, in rain, snow and frost, for a news story, without the employer even covering the cost of fuel, which is not even a question of diet.

Despite the determination and passion for the profession, which pushes me and gives me strength not to give up and withdraw, there comes a time, a day, a moment, when the employer, the one who owes me the unpaid salary of two years, will remove me from work with one click without any prior notice and even blocking me. To be clear, from a job which, due to the stagnation of the media market, I was forced to do voluntarily, until today.

Even though it's a well-known fact and known by everyone, I'm also saying this, that I worked at "Fax News" without a contract, like dozens of other colleagues in Tirana, but more in the districts. But the absence of a contract, this direct legal responsibility of the employer, does not nullify my right to demand to the end, with all legal instruments, the reward of my work, done with love, correctness and many sacrifices.

All written communications with the employer will be filed as evidence with my lawsuit in court.
