RENEA divers have been searching the sea for about two months for the body of Ervin Martinaj, the gambling "king" who has been reported missing since August 2022.

This fact was revealed by the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, in a television show.

Initially, it was the journalist Eni Ferhati who spoke about the research in the sea, which has had few results.

"Investigations have progressed, various experiments of telephone boards have been carried out. During September, RENEA divers searched the sea, as his body (Ervis Martinajt) could have been hidden by the platforms they allegedly killed. Nothing was found. This track that was secured by the police found nothing. In the south of the country, the pigeons stayed for six days, but they did not find anything", said Ferhati.

Meanwhile, the minister emphasized that the police have a lead for the disappearance of the wanted man.

"The searches where Eni is talking about have continued for two months, not six days.

The state police has a lead, there are several statements of some people who have knowledge and information that should be connected", Balla underlined./ CNA
