Today, the Laws Committee discussed the consideration of the draft law "Some additions and changes to Law no. 155/2015, "On gambling in the Republic of Albania" as amended.

In the commission, it was discussed about giving the green light to online casinos, but it was emphasized that the intervention to make this draft law a reality is difficult and some articles should be touched, the process should be better clarified if the road to online casinos will be opened.

There is still no agreement on this and there will have to be a reformulation of the new law.

"Opening the door for online casinos intervention to become a reality is difficult in this situation. Some articles should be touched upon and the process should be clarified even better if we were to pave the way for online casinos.

As long as there is an illegal casino market, it should be a new part of the law and give the opportunity to all companies that will apply for licenses to have online casinos as part of the offer.
