Work continues to extinguish the flames in Shëngjin/ The perpetrator of the

The fire in Shëngjin continues to be active, while under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency and the Ministry of Defense, work is being done to extinguish it.

Throughout the night, work was carried out non-stop to isolate the flames, with the engagement of 7 firefighting vehicles from the Lezha, Vau i Dejës, Shkodër, Mirditë and Porti Shëngjin.

Meanwhile, the operation also involved personnel and water tankers of the Armed Forces, employees of the Forest Service, Public Services of the Lezha Municipality and Civil Emergencies of the Lezha Municipality.

The operation is also being supported by air intervention with the Armed Forces helicopter. Thanks to the coordination of all structures, the intensity of the fire has been significantly reduced and work continues to isolate and completely extinguish the active fires.

It is reported that the suspected perpetrator of the arson has been identified and brought to justice by the competent authorities. /CNA
