Today, the Constitutional Court made the decision to oust Edi Rama, accepting Veliaj's appeal for his dismissal and President Bajram Begaj's decision on the date of the elections in Tirana.

In addition to this decision, the absurdity is happening in front of the Durrës prison. After the decision, fireworks of "shame" have exploded in front of the institution where Veliaj is being held on 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses.

In fact, this is a thief's party from the unconstitutional decision of the Constitutional Court. Veliaj is in prison, he was sent in handcuffs to the Constitutional Court, SPAK has listed 13 charges for 5 criminal offenses, investigations into other cases continue, and fireworks are exploding in front of the prison.

Perhaps the fact that he is in prison, behind bars, accused 9 times of corruption, abuse of office, laundering the proceeds of crime, and bringing illegal items into the cell was celebrated.

Despite the decision, Erion Veliaj remains in prison and will exercise his duties only on paper, while the investigation against him for corruption and abuse of public funds continues.

This institutional absurdity clearly shows the deep crisis in which the Constitutional Court has entered today, a system that allows someone accused of corruption to be called "on duty" while he is behind bars./ CNA
