Constitutional Court's decision on Veliaj/ Journalist Klodiana Lala

Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke about the Constitutional Court's decision on Erion Veliaj. Invited to Ylli Rakipi's show, The Unexposed, the journalist stated that according to the Constitutional Court, Veliaj could only be dismissed if the government could prove that he had seriously violated the Constitution.

"The process in the Constitutional Court does not affect the process taking place in the Special Court. The security measure and the criminal process are not related to the process in the Constitutional Court.

The Constitutional Court says that Erion Veliaj was denied the right to a fair trial because he was not heard in the Municipal Council.

The law on local government cannot be higher than Article 115 of the Constitution.

According to the Constitutional Court, Veliaj could only be dismissed if the court could prove that Veliaj had seriously violated the Constitution.

"The Municipal Council can restart the procedure again, but let Veliaj be heard and it be proven that Veliaj has committed serious violations," the journalist said./ CNA
