Shkullaku: The Constitutional Court has made a correct professional decision,

Journalist Armand Shkullaku has commented on the Constitutional Court's decision in favor of Veliaj. Invited to the Opinion show, Shkullaku said that the decision was professionally correct but not to be applauded.

"I think the court made the right decision professionally. As far as I understand from the laws, the Constitution clearly states that an elected official can be dismissed in two cases: when he dies or when he commits serious violations. In Veliaj's case, he was dismissed for absenteeism.

At first glance, it seems like the court has made a decision against Rama. Rama's elections are canceled, the candidate, the order in the Assembly. Rama has been indifferent. In the extreme case, Rama has been interested in canceling the elections in Tirana.

"Rama is not today like he was a month ago. There were no polls, Balluku was not a defendant. The Constitutional Court made a fair, professional decision, but not one to be applauded," said Shkullaku./ CNA
