Saranda Hospital has provided details about the condition of the mother, who a day ago jumped from the second floor of the maternity ward, together with the newborn baby.

"On June 28 around 02:20 he was born from a normal delivery. He is the sixth child. The birth went very well and the treatment of the mother and the child continued in the following days by the respective doctors and everything about their health was normal. On the third day, seeing the condition of the mother, who seems a bit retarded, we could not find her husband because he did not come to the hospital, I told the nurses that if they saw her husband coming to the maternity hospital, he should contact me." - said the doctor Tajar Lako, in a statement for the media.

The doctor told the media that they could not take the child out of the hospital, as they did not know in what conditions they were living.

“I gjithë stafi ka qenë i përkushtuar për rastin me qumësht, me rroba për fëmijën, të siguruara nga spitali. Duke qenë se këta janë të ardhur në qytet në sezon thjesht për të lypur atëherë unë nuk mund ta nxirrja fëmijën nga materniteti se nuk dija kushtet e banimit dhe ku t’i shpinim”, -thotë mjeku.

Ai shton se ka komunikuar me drejtorin e spitalit dhe më pas i kanë nisur një shkresë zyrës së shërbimit social, ku kanë mësuar se adresa e familjes në fjalë ishte herë në Durrës, herë në Berat, herë në Gjirokastër.

“I ndodhur në këto kushte komunikoj me drejtorin e spitalit dhe i nisim bashkisë një shkresë zyrës së shërbimit social, madje edhe gojarisht ka folur për rastin edhe shefja e burimeve njerëzore dhe përgjigja e tyre ishte se adresa e tyre rezultonte herë në Durrës, herë në Berat herë në Gjirokastër dhe ne nuk kishim siguri se ku dhe ishim në pritje për të marrë një adresë të saktë se ku mund t’i çonim."-theksoi mjeku.
