They were transporting drugs from Rinas to Istanbul/ Two Turkish citizens were handcuffed

The state police, in cooperation with Turkish partners, are conducting in-depth investigations into the trafficking of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, through Rinas airport.

It is reported that as a result of the information received, 2 Turkish citizens who were transporting suspected cannabis sativa narcotics from Rinas airport to Istanbul airport were arrested.

The state police, in cooperation with the Turkish partners and the Albanian and Turkish law enforcement agencies, are continuing the in-depth investigation to identify and bring to justice all the perpetrators of drug trafficking.

Concrete measures have been taken to coordinate work with the customs authority and TIA, in the direction of joint control, in order to prevent illegal traffic from Rinas airport.
