Tirana, 13 thousand fines in one week/ 60% of them for wrong parking

13 578 fines. This is the number of administrative measures imposed by the Traffic Police in Tirana, as 13 people were arrested and prosecuted.

About 60% of the total, 7,169 fines were imposed only for wrong parking with a daily average of 1,939.

After wrong parking, the second highest number of fines is for speeding over the allowed rates, namely 1,447 administrative measures and 1,147 measures for not wearing a seat belt.

According to the announcement, the police detained 13 people among them arrested and prosecuted. Also, 13 vehicles were blocked, including 4 with foreign license plates.

Police notification:

During the week that passed, 13 citizens were arrested and prosecuted at large for various criminal offenses in the field of road traffic. 

13,578 administrative measures have been imposed:
• 34 measures for black windows.
• 1447 measures for speeding over the permitted rates.
• 452 measures for mobile phone use while driving.
• 1147 measures for not wearing a seat belt.
• 5 measures for disobeying the "Stop" signal.
• 7169 measures for wrong posture.

Suspensions and blockages:
• 22 cases of suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol.
• 38 cases of speeding.
• 13 vehicles were blocked, including 4 with foreign license plates./ CNA
