Latest data from fires in the country/ Problematic points

The Ministry of Defense has provided details regarding the fire situation in the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the data, 28 fires have been reported, of which 3 are active and 6 are under monitoring.

Currently, intensive work is being done in the following areas:

Ternovo (Bulqiza Municipality)

The fire continues to develop in the dense forest crown from the mountain pass towards the old town of Bulqizë. 8 members of the Bulqizë Municipality Fire Department, 4 municipal forces, 6 forestry forces, 3 police forces, supported by the Armed Forces with 30 military forces and 1 helicopter, are engaged in the operation. Work is underway to isolate the fire.

Xeth (Fushë-Arrëz Municipality)

Work continues to isolate the fire with the involvement of 60 operational forces, assisted by 80 military forces and 1 helicopter. The intensity of the flames has decreased, but the work to extinguish it continues.

Velë (Municipality of Mirdita)

Fire in a pine forest, with about 6.5 ha described by flames. On the ground are 3 firefighting vehicles with 6 employees of the Mirditë Municipality Fire Department, 12 municipal forces, 6 forestry forces, 2 police forces and 6 military forces. Work is underway to completely extinguish the fire.

Hotspots under monitoring:

Mountain with Holes – Bizë (Bulqizë Municipality)

The fire is taking place in a rocky area, without danger. 2 AdZM forces and 5 volunteers are engaged.

Zhapokika, Plasnik (Lugas neighborhood) and Rehova (Poliçan Municipality) – The fire was brought under control by the intervention of forces, 2 helicopters, and helped by rainfall.

Velcan (Berat Municipality)

The situation is under control after the intervention of 25 MZSH officers, 2 helicopters and favored by rainfall.

Mali i Bërzhitës, Ibë (Tirana Municipality) – Fire under control by 3 firefighting vehicles, 5 APR forces and the police.

Damjan-Fortuzaj and Isufaj (Tirana Municipality) – Under control after the intervention of the Ministry of Interior, the Albanian Police and the Police.

Ferraj and Zall-Herr (Tirana Municipality) – Low intensity, under control and without risk to homes.

52 firefighting vehicles and 740 operational forces were deployed in the firefighting operations, assisted by the Armed Forces with 323 military forces, 7 firefighting vehicles and 1 helicopter of the Armed Forces.
