Albanian prisoners in Britain and Northern Ireland/ The transfer agreement is

The Council of Ministers has approved in principle the agreement between Albania and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, for the transfer of convicted Albanians.

The agreement is expected to be signed by the two governments by Prime Minister Edi Rama and his British counterpart, Rishi Sunak.

If this does not happen, the cooperation will be confirmed with the signature of the British Minister of Justice and Minister Ulsi Manja.

Thus, Albanians imprisoned in Great Britain or Northern Ireland who will receive the right of transfer will return to their homeland to serve their sentence.

Also, the prisoners who have 4 years of their sentence left will return to Albania./ CNA.al
