"The scourge of business is corruption"/ "Surrender"

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, held a meeting with business representatives, where they discussed the business climate in the country.

The minister spoke about the reduction of corruption in the country, but she states that one of the wounds of business is reimbursement, thus accepting the phenomenon which the Government does not accept, but apparently Ibrahimaj has surrendered and accepted the reality.

“Sigurisht që mbetet ende shumë punë për tu bërë se ka ende teknalitete që duhen sqaruar dhe rregulluar në proces. Një shqetësim i madh i biznesit ka qenë korrupsioni në institucionet shtetërore dhe adresimi i kësaj plage të konkurrencës së lirë. Në fakt qeveria shqiptare ka pësuar një revolucion dixhital në vitet e fundit, duke shmangur prezencën fizike dhe kontaktet me inspektorët. Shumica e shërbimeve tani janë online dhe eliminohet kontakti që biznesi ka me individin. Një plagë tjetër ka qenë sistemi i rimbursimit të TVSH-së. Që nga muaji mars çdo kërkesë rimbursimi bëhet në një proces automatik që s’ka nevojë për shkresa dhe kontakte me agjentët. Sot koha mesatare e rimbursimit është 40 ditë. Doganat janë një tjetër hapësirë që dikur ka qenë e gjitha në letër dhe me kontakt fizik me agjentët doganorë. Tashmë 34 nga shërbimet e doganave kryhen online. Shumë sugjerime nga ana juaj kanë ardhur sa i përket aftësimit të punonjësve”, tha Ibrahimaj.

So 34 out of 41 customs services are done online, which cuts time. According to Ibrahimaj, online services have reduced the level of corruption.

The public consultation is one of the points that has the most "complaints", says the minister.

"Businesses are constantly complaining about the public consultation. But in the meantime, there are systems that have been set up that speed up our communication, through the portal" ./ CNA.al
